LICENSED CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST (CALIFORNIA, US)
I'm a neurodiversity-affirming psychotherapist specializing in individual and relationship therapy. My mission is to help people live more fulfilling lives.
In humanistic therapy, the main focus is to witness a person fully, including celebrating their strengths and seeing how their weaknesses impact them.
In cognitive therapy, the focus is on how one's reactions to themselves, others, and the world is related to the core beliefs developed in their past, and what they think and do now.
In brainspotting, we help our system heal by gently accessing somatic experiences in the body and practicing mindfulness focused on previous trauma and current stuck points.
Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
In PCIT, the main focus is on coaching parents to improve their relationship with their child and to learn effective ways to teach their child.
Individual psychotherapy helps you to learn about yourself. We work through behavioral, communicational, thought and relational patterns.
Relationship therapy helps people to communicate their feelings and needs to each other without fear of being criticized or attacked.
Parent Coaching and Family Therapy
Parent coaching helps parents manage difficult periods of their most important role as parents by improving relationships in the family and empowering parents to use effective strategies to support their children.
Therapy has really helped me overcome some past trauma I had been keeping under a lid for a long time. Now, I feel happier and more confident in my life, and feel like I can walk with my head held high.
Therapy with Silvia helped me feel heard and understood. I learned how to be kind to myself and set boundaries with others. I now believe that I am not broken, and that I can be loved as I am.
